Is CoolSculpting® right for me?

You're active. You eat healthy. But if you still have areas of stubborn fat that won't go away, it might be time to consider CoolSculpting®.

The CoolSculpting procedure is not a weight loss solution for people who are obese, but it can be a non-surgical substitute for procedures such as liposuction. Good candidates have noticeable bulges in certain areas they’d like to get rid of. A qualified coolsculpting team can determine if treatment is right for you during a one-on-one consultation.

A personalized  treatment plan

CoolSculpting® is designed to help you achieve your body contouring goals—with no surgery and little to no downtime. Here's a guide of what to expect on your CoolSculpting®journey.

Schedule a Consultation

  • Think about what area(s) you want to treat.

  • Plan questions to ask your provider about treatment. Not sure what to ask? Here's a list of questions to get started Save questions to device

  • To be eligible for CoolSculpting®, you must be 18 or older, no disqualifying medical conditions, and be interested in eliminating stubborn fat from any of the 9 areas we treat. Talk to your provider to learn more.

Get Your Personalised Plan

  • During your consultation, discuss what areas you'd like to treat, your body contouring goals, and ask questions about treatment.

  • Your provider will assess if you’re a candidate for treatment and develop your personalized treatment plan.

  • Personalized treatment plans include how many CoolSculpting® treatment sessions you’ll need to see your desired result. A treatment session is each time you come in for a treatment appointment with your provider. Each session may include multiple CoolSculpting® treatments. For many patients, two or more treatment sessions are recommended to reach their body contouring goals.

Start Treatment

  • Your provider will take clinical photographs to help you track your before, during, and after progress.

  • Next, your provider will outline the area to be treated, apply a gel pad to create a barrier between the applicator and your skin, and then place the applicators on your body.

  • As treatment begins, you’ll feel a light vacuum pressure and an intense cold. After approximately 10 minutes or so, the area being treated will become temporarily numb.

  • Everyone has their own sensitivity to discomfort, but most patients do not find the treatment painful. In fact, many people say they like to read, catch up on email, watch TV shows, or even take a nap.

  • When each treatment ends, the applicator(s) and gel pad are removed. The treated area is then massaged for 2 minutes to help break up the fat cells.

  • On average, each treatment session is as little as 35-75 minutes per cycle (treatment), depending on the area treated. Each session is 1-3 hours on average. If you are treated with a CoolSculpting® Elite machine, dual applicators can treat two areas at the same time

Return to Your Day

  • Since CoolSculpting® has little to no downtime, you can go back to your busy day.

  • CoolSculpting® is not a weight loss procedure. Continue to maintain your usual diet and exercise routine.

  • Since many patients receive more than one treatment session, you may return for additional treatments in 6-8 weeks.

  • Your body will naturally eliminate the treated fat cells. Typically, it takes 1-3 months to see results, with full results taking 6 months or more.

  • After your treatment plan is complete, don't forget to ask to see your before, during, and after photographs!

USES & IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION FOR COOLSCULPTING

CoolSculpting®
CoolSculpting® is FDA-cleared for the treatment of visible fat bulges in the submental (under the chin) and submandibular (under the jawline) areas, thigh, abdomen, and flank, along with bra fat, back fat, underneath the buttocks (also known as banana roll), and upper arm. It is also FDA-cleared to affect the appearance of lax tissue with submental area treatments. CoolSculpting® and CoolSculpting® Elite are not treatments for weight loss.

CoolSculpting® Important Safety Information:
These procedures are not for everyone. You should not be treated with CoolSculpting® or CoolSculpting® Elite if you suffer from cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria.
Tell your doctor if you have any medical conditions including recent surgery, pre-existing hernia, and any known sensitivities or allergies.
During the procedure you may experience sensations of pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching, and cramping at the treatment site. These sensations lessen as the area becomes numb. Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, or skin sensitivity, and sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental or submandibular area treatment.
Rare side effects may happen in 1 to 10 out of 10,000 CoolSculpting® and CoolSculpting® Elite treatments (between 0.01% to 0.1%). One such rare side effect is a visible enlargement in the treated area, which may develop 2 to 5 months after treatment, will not resolve on its own, and may require surgical intervention for correction.
